Justin Edinburgh was more than just a football legend—he was a leader, a mentor, and a family man. His sudden passing in 2019 from cardiac arrest at just 49 years old sent shockwaves through the football world and beyond. However, from this tragedy, his family and supporters built something truly powerful: the Justin Edinburgh 3 (JE3) Foundation.

Who Was Justin Edinburgh?

A fierce competitor on the pitch and an inspiring leader off it, Justin made over 200 appearances for Tottenham Hotspur, playing a crucial role in their FA Cup victory in 1991. Later in his career, he transitioned into management, where he successfully led Leyton Orient back into the Football League, securing his legacy in the sport.

In June 2019, tragedy struck when Justin suffered a cardiac arrest and passed away days later. His death highlighted a crucial issue: cardiac arrests can happen to anyone, at any time, and immediate action is essential for survival. Consequently, his family took the initiative to create a foundation dedicated to preventing similar losses.

The JE3 Foundation: Fighting for Change

Determined to prevent more unnecessary deaths, Justin’s family established the JE3 Foundation, a charity committed to expanding defibrillator access and improving emergency response education.
