This strong collaboration ensures more people are prepared for cardiac emergencies and helps save more lives across the nation.
Our Shared Mission
At the core of this partnership is a shared mission: to save lives by increasing access to life-saving skills and tools.
Training More People
Defib Supplies and St John Ambulance help people gain the skills and confidence to handle emergencies. First aiders and first responders are vital in saving lives, whether at work, in the community, or in public spaces.
Providing the Right Tools
Having the right equipment is just as crucial as the training itself. Defib Supplies and St John Ambulance ensures that workplaces, schools, and communities are equipped with high-quality AEDs. These devices significantly improve survival rates during cardiac emergencies.
Building Heart-Safe Communities
Together, we’re creating heart-safe communities by making defibrillators widely available and ensuring people know how to use them. This effort helps increase survival rates and reduce fatalities from sudden cardiac arrests.
Why This Partnership Matters
Heart emergencies can happen at any time, whether in a low or high-risk environment. Immediate action is vital, and having both the skills and the tools to respond can save lives. Through this partnership, we ensure that individuals and organisations are well-prepared.
The courses we offer also help businesses comply with safety first aid regulations set by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). Completing a first aid needs assessment is crucial for determining the appropriate level of training and equipment required for your workplace.

Emergency Situation Training Courses
We offer a range of first aid training courses to suit different needs and environments:
Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)
- EFAW stands for emergency first aid at work, a one day first aid course that covers essential skills like CPR and AED usage. This course is perfect for low-risk workplaces. It gives participants a first aid certificate for work, which is valid for 3 years.
- A comprehensive three day first aid course designed for higher-risk environments. This FAW course covers many medical emergencies and injuries. It includes fractures, severe bleeding, and heart attacks.
- Tailored for those working with children, this course meets Ofsted and EYFS standards. It covers child-specific emergencies, including choking and allergic reactions.
A crucial course that equips participants to recognise and respond to mental health challenges in the workplace. It supports early intervention and promotes a healthier work environment.
